Blessing Lawrence

He was Blessed on Sunday. It was beautiful, the whole day was lovely.
I wrote in my journal right after the blessing, as I have done for all my children.
I am so thankful to the Lord for my family.

Uplift

I was able to go to the Temple on Tuesday with some family for Joseph to receive his endowment. It was truly a wonderful evening. I have such gratitude to the Lord for blessing us with Temples, they truly are holy places, the house of the Lord.

So excited for the meridian temple to be complete in 2017!

Memorial Day

In the evening we went to the graves this year for memorial day as we always do. I am so grateful for that tradition and for a husband who is so supportive. It is wonderful that we have such loving extended family!

We also had a really fun day. First we went out to sandy point at lucky peak and had a BBQ picnic and the kids played with cousins.

in the afternoon the girls went to a movie, it was pretty fun to go out with my mom and sister (and baby).

We also spent time together with the Barthlome's in the evening when they came over, the guys went to a movie and the kids played.

One week Old

Our baby is already a week old! How did that happen?! We love him to bits. He is a sweet baby he hardly ever cries (so far, knock on wood). I have been writing all about him in my Journal. His brothers love him. Mostly he loves mamma ;) His daddy is the master burped and he loves to be held and cuddled.
Sorry for the picture overload but I cant help myself! These are at 5 days and the last ones at exactltly one week (down the the min! )

He is very likely to be our last baby so I am really just trying to enjoy every possible second. I have decided to basically set aside the summer to enjoy. With Eli starting Kindergarten in the fall, Kayden turning 4 (which seems so grown up) and the early baby months going so fast I am going to focus on the kids, the house might get messy but I am just going to be patient with myself. Especially with my postpartum body.

Primary Temple Trip activity

On Saturday, the ward primary went to the Meridian temple site and the Boise Temple. It was a fabulous experience.
The kids got to talk with some missionaries about the Temple, then we took pictures so that all the kids can remember their goal to enter the Temple someday.

A mighty Man

This morning my grandfather passed away. Facebook and other social media has been flooded with memories and thoughts from the family as we all remember grandpa. My children will probably not remember grandpa but the example he showed all of us will be remembered.

I posted this yesterday as I thought about grandpa."I spent a lot of time thinking about my grandpa today. I am so grateful to have such a righteous and hardworking grandfather; he is a truly tremendous man. I am so grateful for all of the time I spent with him. He never shirked. He was always working, he tried to teach all of us to work hard and keep all of Gods commandments. I am so grateful for all he has taught me in my life and done for me. It is truly a gift to be the granddaughter of such a good man. As his life on earth comes to a close I am especially grateful to know that this life is not the end and that we are all linked together eternally as a family."

Remembering those who have gone before

On memorial day, in the evening, we went to see family graves and place flowers there.
It was a great teaching opportunity with our kids. We go every year.
Families can be together forever. We talked about temples, we talked about Heavenly Father plan, we talked about life.
We are so grateful for those who have gone before us.

The rain started up again, literary a min after we got in the car to head home. Tender Mercy!
