Camels back, ridge to rivers trails

two weekends ago, before the fire in the foothills, we went on another awesome hike.

During the hike it got steep and poor Eli got scared. after a pep talk and right before we finished the hike Eli said "mom, don't listen to your fears; listen to your braveness, like me. Okay?"

Later that night we went to a Quinceañera and a wedding reception.that morning and the night before I had attended baby showers (obviously for different people). Sunday we went to a family party for my grandma's birthday. overall it was quite the weekend. 

And just so you know all of those party's had chocolate cake. What are the odds!?

MK Nature Center

Yesterday we both felt sick so we canceled our plans and stayed close to home.  Today still not feeling well but wanting to do something we visited the MK Nature center in Boise.

Oh my goodness memories from my younger years, I remember going there with my dad and looking for what seemed like hours, the big ugly stergons are still there.

The kids loved it, it was so pretty and green.

The weather was super sunny which made it difficult to get good pictures but I snagged a few.

A day together

On the day that my grandpa passed away I spent most of the morning crying. It is understandable. Since the Mr. had the week off and the kids were restless, my wise husband suggested an afternoon out.
What a good idea.
