hiking

We went on a hike in utah.
It was everything I ask for in a hike, steep in places, rocky, streams, views and a great finishing destination.
Kayden fell twice, Eli once. In the end everyone made it back to the car, dirty but happy- or at least alive.
the boys were troopers, a gold star to Eli who had a fever when he woke up that morning.

First Engagement session

This last weekend I was out of town again.
This time I went with my mom to Rexburg.
I have been excited about the trip for several months. It was my first photoshoot for and engagement.
My sister asked me to take the pictures, I was very flattered because my sister herself is a very good photographer.
It was a wonderful experience for me. I got to know Todd (Jessica’s fiancĂ©) better and watch the way they interact as a couple. My goal was to make the pictures a beautiful flattering end result for them, to make the picture taking process a fun memory in itself and to capture the moments that told their story a little bit. I think everyone was pleased with the result!
They are the sweetest couple. For Real.
Thank you again Jessica for the opportunity!

I will not post the pictures yet (though I want too) because they are not edited and of course Jessica and Todd get to do that first, but as soon as the announcements and such are out I will post a few of my favorite moments!

Here is one picture i can share. It was just a light test shoot  but consider it a sneak peak!

Our vacation story in pictures

Here are more pictures from the trip. I won’t apologize for this blog post being all pictures, because I think pictures tell the story best anyways. I have always enjoyed picture heavy posts myself.

The glass reflected but can you see how cute the baby orangotang is?

Aunt Allison brought in the bike.
Apparently Nana asked him if he had a bike and he said "no" and she said "Oh really?" and He told her: "I want a BLUE bike"
So that is what Nana and Papa got him.

After the trip we enjoyed some pretzels from  The Sweet Tooth fairy Kind of an dearly St Patty's day thing.
