Kayden Terrence Hill

Our new arrival came last Monday at 2:50 we are so happy to have him in our home he is just a sweet as his daddy and brother!

He was 20 days (almost three weeks) early. My water broke out of nowhere on its own at 2:30 in the morning the Sunday night. My wonderful mother cam =e over to be there for Eli and Mitchell and I headed out at 4 we checked into the hospital and got an iv going with penicillin then and at around 6 they started me on Pitocin since I was not really in active labor and they needed to get me moving. Mitchell left to go get things figured out at work since they don’t have any substitutes because a budget deficit he got back an hour later and by then I was hurting during contractions enough to need his hand so I am glad he got back so fast. I waited until around 10 when I was really hurting to get my epidural. After they gave it to me, and my blood pressure dropped and I got sick and all those cons, I felt pretty great and Mitchell went to check on Eli and get things done for a few hours. I stayed at a 4 most of the day. They put an internal thing in to see what the contractions were like from the inside and seeing that it would be a while, the doctors left until they got a phone call. About ten min after they left and I was finally about to fall asleep I felt a lot of pain and called the nurse. I was really in a lot of pain so I thought something was wrong with the internal monitor or something. Turns out the nurse could see baby's head! I had jumped from a 4 to a 10 just a few min.  the internal monitor was fine my epidural was just not reaching to that part of my body. I was crying sadly to Mitchell about the pain remembering 3 hours of pushing Eli but, I only had to push for about  3 min and out came Kayden. The doctor actually helped Mitchell deliver him so Mitchell "caught the baby” and put Kayden on me before anyone else touched him. We enjoyed that special experience.  He is 6 lbs. 7 oz. 20 inches long and beautiful. We love having him in our family and home. Eli loves him and is always wanting to check on him and give him kisses.

A small word of gratitude for my wonderful husband he as always has been incredibly selfless and sensitive and I love him! Thank you Mitchell!
