Spring-ing

Ahhh! I love that fresh outside air! We have been really coming out of hibernation at our house, the nice days have us playing at the park, in the yard and realizing how cold winter really was! I have been getting out running more (which everyone is glad about) and it’s been simply wonderful to let the kids run around outside while I cook dinner.
I am a chatter box but I always find myself wanting to look at pictures in blogs the most so I will just give you a photo look at our days!

I have a very dear friend Holly who lends me books frequently and she mentioned that she usually reads a certain #( a very high number folks) of books a year (this makes sense because she is a book reviewer.). Anyways I thought to myself “I’ve never kept track of how much I read” so I started keeping track. I was on a book binge for a while and I got up to 27 and then I stopped counting, I have read more since then but I guess I figured I was doing just fine in that department and left off the count. It does not make sense to me I guess, although I make a determined effort to read non-fiction and classic books of literary merit. I find myself rereading old favorites, pouring over historical fiction and enjoying my fair share of young adult books (but not junk books, I mean the witch of blackbird pond type). Since I often read a book for entertainment the same as most watch a movie it does not make a difference to me how many I read in a year. Mitchell has been keeping track for me since he finds it entertaining to see how often I curl up in a chair and “get lost” for a few hours. I usually end up telling him the plots of whatever book I am reading over dinner.

  1. So fun! That little guys is walking all over isn't he? Wow, it's been too long! I've also read so many books since I've been confined to a chair breastfeeding for so much of the day, I wish I had kept count. (Thank goodness for Kindle!) I've got a few really good recommendations for you. We need to hang out now that it's warmer (and now that I'm starting to feel like a human again)!
