And its really summer break! Wednesday

That might seem like a strange tittle because summer has been going on for a long time and school starts in 2 weeks here, but to me its now summer break time because summer school is out and Mitchell gets a vacation. (not as long as you think because teachers go back to work a week before students) but a whole week of family vacation time fun. We are planning lots of fun things. All of them close due to economic resources (or the lack thereof) and due to the fact that our car does not like long trips anymore. BUT we will have a great deal of fun and the fun began last night!
When Mitchell got home we all got in the car and headed out to the (less charming as the summer wheres on) Lake Lowell. Admittedly not the classiest place or crowed out there but it is really close to our house and we loved it~!  We bought a $2.50 pack of cream-sickles on our way and had them in the shade, the picnic tables were all really disgusting covered in nasty overripe berries etc so we sat on our trusty denim quilt  (which we keep at all times in the trunk for things like this)on the ground. Then we played in the lake. We just wadded i didn't think the kids would like it but both of them tried to swim "out to sea" so to speak.

when we got home we made homemade pizza and everyone stayed up late until the house cooled down a little bit! it was a great kick off to our vacation. Happy summer vacation M man
