A long week and fathers day

This last week seemed very long, Eli is getting in his big I teeth they seem to be really mean the poor boy did not sleep well at nights at all. I made sure to get up with him as fast as I could so that Mitchell would not be disturbed. We did well even though I was really tired during the days and because Eli was over tired he was having trouble with his naps, so I kept us out as much as I could. We had several play dates and we went to the park and on long walks every day.
Wednesday night was awful I don’t know how many times he woke up but it was at least 7 or 8 I counted to that point and then just stayed in his room. I was so tired on Thursday I planned a play date and made lunch hoping that he would take a long nap but someone choose that day to do some construction work on the fence 15 feet from his window, so no nap. I was so emotional, I was crying from being over tired, I was so grateful to my family we walked over there and my brothers played with Eli while I rested on the couch then Eli and I went home in time to make a yummy dinner for Mitchell. He is so sweet he knew I was having a hard day so be brought me home flowers! My favorite variety and in my favorite color! I love him. I was so glad I had tried to go the extra mile that day and not just throw my hands in the air and give up.  There is something so much better about pushing through the hard parts and being rewarded then just getting the reward. It’s a little bit like the view from the top of a high mountain you hiked verses driving to the top and looking, it’s so much better because the effort it took to climb it.
We went to the green belt this week and Eli had fun wearing daddy’s shoes and playing with his new pin wheel. Fathers day was great but I dropped the ball and did not take pictures! Gasp! Eli made a special foot print we framed and got daddy a new pillow I got him men in black and a wii game with lots of candy and a card. We love Him so much he is such a great father and husband he never complains when he is tired and always wants to make sure we feel loved and cared for. How grateful we are for Him and what a righteous Priesthood holder he is. We had a lesion about families for FHE last night and  while preparing for it I found a Fathers day type message on lds.org that had memories different apostles had of their fathers. I am glad that I was raised by a wonderful and righteous father!
