a work in progress

This week we have been painting our house, we are really not as far as I had hoped but it was a really very busy week. My brothers came over to help everyday almost all day and my parents spent a very long time helping too, my dad came two days after he got home from work and did a lot! He is the one way up high in the pictures; he was up on the very highest roof hanging over the edge to get the underside of the tall peaks for us.
We are about 1/3 of the way done looks great so far!

Mitchell man power washing! the paint was so bad we could get it off by just running our hands over it, the powerewasher got so much off! it was raining paint chips. literally.

Eli got wet from the mist of the power washer and then played in dirt, mud everywhere!
here he is playing in the dirt
 mouth full of water
 adorable
 big brothers hat

 taking of the hat, agian
HA ha mom, i took of the hat

look mom uncle michael painted my nose, accidentally.
look mom i can paint too!
look uncle Michael painted my forehead today, accidentally
"your taking pictures of us painting the house, really?" (he likes it)
My mom, good ole mom making sure everyone is getting all the spots under the edges and such places! so glad she came , i am not an old enough mom yet to have the credibility she does :) And she painted a huge section of the side of our house, in just a few hours, maybe less. super mom!
My dad reaching new heights. (except he painted his house a couple times and likes to climb really high peaks in the mountains so its not really a "new" height for him but its still cool!
this is a direct quote"Micheal can i get a pictures of you, and you'll look like really good in them!?"  "Melinda, i always look amazing in pictures. Its a fact" i knew that..
see how high up he was. pretty cool.
did i mention that he is adorable?
 bubbles
PS yes our grass is long, i didn't want it cut right before we started painting, now they can mow off alot of the paint drip.
as you can tell we are painting our house a silvery green.

  2. Can't wait to see the before and after! You guys have been working so hard. Way to go! Also, those pictures are so great. I love how much fun the boys are having getting dirty. Speaking of playing in the dirt, I read an anecdote recently that reminded me of our last play date at your house. You can read it at: http://www.mudpiemamas.com/2013/05/27/can-i-play-at-the-dirt-pile-house/
