Snow day

We had a snow day last Friday!
excitement!
The boys pretty much considered it the best day ever. Not only was daddy home but they got to make snowmen that look like Olaf.
mom (meaning me) thought it was a great day also. I woke up and look out our big bedroom windows and saw snow falling and that beautiful world covered in white and i took the time to sigh with contentment.
I LOVE the look of winter. When everything is white and all the colors are muted and the trees look so dark and gorgeous against the snow.... I love love love it.
I was so excited,, we turned on Christmas music (i know its not even thanksgiving) and i made homemade biscuits for breakfast. We ate the toasty warm goodness and then cleaned the house cheerfully (that hardly ever happens-the cheerful part-) and then we played in the snow and made snowmen with carrots for noses. We came inside for hot cocoa and homemade chicken soup, Then we cut up paper snowflakes and turned on the fireplace. Mitchell and Eli shoveled the sidewalk by our house and the driveway Eli was such a big helper!
We finished off the day with Charlie Browns Christmas and our usual homemade pizza. (we have made pizza every weekend for over a year now!).
We had such a wonderful time the whole day was fabulous.
Pictures tell it best!
Eli  kept standing and moving the snowman's arms and saying "hi i'm Olaf , i like warm hugs!" It was adorable!!!!
