A very exciting Week!

This last week Mitchell was home so we were very busy with fun family outings. Also there was the 4th of july to celebrate and a lot of family cam in to town on the 5th to celebrate my grandparents 5oth wedding anniversary and have kind of a reunion. I am so grateful to be here so we could come and so glad that I am part of such a fun and wonderful family! Extended family is a new concept for Mitchell but he had a blast also.

On the 4th we had a fun morning as a family we went to the park and played then after Eli’s nap we headed over to my parents house to have a little party. It worked out well they were all pretty tired from my brothers Eagle scout project the day before so they were not doing anything but preparation for the weekend. We brought all the food and set up a table in their yard and the kiddie pool and some games and it was a wonderful relaxing time. Later we did fireworks and everyone enjoyed them! Eli did get scared of the sparklers though!  We went home and got Eli to sleep and styed up watching movies, and some fireworks that were outside our window.

The next day we went to the Zoo! It was amazingly fun to see Eli’s eyes get big and excited the weather was perfect for it. Mitchell bought Eli a little elephant toy at the gift shop which Eli LOVES. After the zoo we went to the rose gardens and ate a picnic lunch in the gazebo.  It was a favorite day for sure! Unfortunately right when we got to the zoo my camera died so I had to take picture on my phone, and Mitchells phone. I can to get Bluetooth to work right now for some reason so I will have to put those pictures up later.

Friday we went to Eagle in the morning to do a little shopping and take Eli to fun stores like Zerckers where we got him a balloon and a beach ball to play with at that nights family reunion.  After shopping we went out to lunch for a special treat! Thank you Mitchell man! We then went to a meeting  and got home by midafternoon to take naps. And prepare for the evening.  I got everything ready and we all went on a long drive out to a very fun place near Fruitland called Christenson’s pond, we got a little lost on the way there because the road to the pond looks like a driveway, leads right to a house and everything. It was a fun place neither Mitchell nor I got all the way wet or did any of the exciting activities but it was cool. They had diving boards and a rope swing and big and little water slides and a zip line and canoes and a beach area, floating docks… it was quite the pond.  We all went on a boat ride and Eli and Mitchell played in the sand for a long time while I sat in the shade. Mitchell found a frog which was exciting especially since Eli didn’t know how to hold it. J  We all had pizza (I brought Mitchell a homemade Gluten free one) and had salads and drinks. Then we left early since Eli was sleepy.

The next day I made my usual fun Saturday morning breakfast and then spent some time helping my mom get the food she was bringing ready f=before I came home with Mitchell to make his Gluten free foods and give Eli a nap. We headed out to the party location which was an old west type place. We spent a very long day out there eating and hiking and playing and trying to keep cool. The Reception for Grandma and Grandpas 50th was in the evening and went great. It was a ton of fun to visit with so many relatives we don’t often get to see. We left early again for bedtime and enjoyed a nice evening together relaxing.

Yesterday I got fabric for the Baby quilt I am going to make for hill baby #2, It is really cute and I spent all morning having my mom help me get it started.
