This week Seems like a lot of little things happened.
Eli and I both had Doctors appointments. Eli had a cough but
the doc said it was nothing to worry about so we just got some little noses
spray and put the vaporizer in his room. His cough still kept us from visiting
teaching and playing with his little friends.
By Sunday he was better except for a runny nose so Mitchell and I switched
off going to church to stay with him that way both of us went to a part of
Church.
I did a batch of Cherries all by myself. It was my first
time canning alone but I am very happy to say it was pretty much a success, quiet
and adventure in some ways because I did not have some basic things like a
funnel, but they taste great and I feel good. My brothers, Cousin Nate and Eli helped pick
the cherries and Michael and Nate helped pit them. They actually pitted most
all of them while I inspected each cherry carefully to ensure that they had no
worm holes or worms in them. They got quite a few laughs out of that process and
I am told by Nate that it will be a joke forever! I took so long looking at the
Cherries that I only took half of what we picked, fortunately Grandma West was
able to find a use for them.
I also went to a garage sale and got a lot of baby clothes
and some clothes for me for (pause for effect) a dollar, that right $1. I am
taking about a garbage bag full of clothes. All really nice clothes, including a pure white baby tux suit thing.
The lady was the mom of like 4 or 5 boys and was so excited for me to have
another one she was extra generous. She had all nice clothes in great condition;
she said when the kids get them really dirty she just chucks them because she
knows they will never look clean again. I did get a lot of boy clothes for
newborns up to 3 months that are for the summer so if anyone is having a boy
this summer let me know!
Eli found a blanket I used a lot when he was little before
it got cold. He was so excited he has been running around with it everywhere.
He brings it to me and wants me to put tit around his shoulders then he will
dance with it and laugh!
I have spent quite a bit of time helping with Michaels Eagle
scout project which was today. I was a recruiter, and I also tried to go over
and help especially on Sunday night and last night. I helped at the Blood drive
today as a greeter and I thought that it was a pretty good turnout. Several of my relative came out and supported him,
Way to BE!!!
Last friday Mitchell turned in the final grades for the first session of summer school. Mitchell has this week off from teaching summer school so we have a fun filled week planned. Next week the second sesson starts. He went to a meeting for his job at Columbia yesterday and we bought fireworks and went shopping. Today he went with Eli to get an oil change and new fuel filter in the car and later after the blood drive we bought some golf clubs from DI and went to a park and hit around some mini whiffle balls it was quite fun!
