playing with dry beans

We had a play group with our friends James  and his mom alice last week and she gave me an idea. I decided to try it so it did and it was the big highlight for Eli. It was playing with a big bowl of dried beans. That was FUN! After he played in them for about an hour and a half he threw them all over the floor so when it was time to clean up I gave him a broom so he could help because he loves to help clean!
I still have two whole months before we have the next baby but I have a lot on my to do list so last week I tried to work on a few things on the list, the one I spent a lot of  time on was going through Eli’s closet and my sewing stuff.
I also started a free zero credit personal finance course through the church website and BYU which I have been really investing time and thought into. It’s nice to be taking a kind of class that has no pressure involved. I also finally got some of the library book I had on hold so I have been doing alost of reading before bed.  One of the books is called cut your grocery bill in half by America’s cheapest family and I am really enjoying it and learning a lot of very interesting facts.  For Example you can freeze milk, and around major baking holidays they often put large eggs in the medium cartons because they have more mature hens at that time.
Mitchell and I have been reading a book out loud together called Mindset which is fabulous.
Eli picked and ate his first Blackberries. Yummy! I did not get a picture but his hands and face were stained purple He is definitely his daddy’s boy!
Today is a big day! Mitchell is going to sign his contract and meet with the human resource people to get all the details of his job figured out. We are so proud of him! Congratulations Mitchell man!
