November 2012 Our kiddo's

I have been mentally writing this for weeks but have not gotten to it yet so …this will be a long post!

Kayden grew out of his newborn size clothes this month J Kind of a bitter sweet landmark. He is doing much better now and is a lot happier, thanks to Tasha for a lot of great tips. Kayden’s sweet personality is coming out more each dad he smiles so sweet and “coo’s” during his wake time. He is sleeping a lot better now too. I have cut wheat totally out of my diet and when he is older we will have to test him for celiac, the doctor says when they are this young it’s not really something worth testing for since lots of babies are sensitive to different things  their mom’s eat.
Eli is getting to be so grown up! About two weeks ago he wouldn’t settle down for bed so when I went in to ask him why he would not go to sleep he said, clear as day “I don’t want to go bed” my heart just melted. Now he says that much  more often. He says a lot of phrases now and I am so happy to have improved communication. He says things like “I’m hungry” , “Drink”, “Cheese!”, “where is the ball?” , “time to go”…,. He stacks blocks into towers and loves to play with his toy trains. It fun to have him at this stage! He is SO SMART! He can open doors too well now and the other day when I was outside throwing out the trash he locked us out of the house. Stressful! We got out apt owner to come get me in after like ten min. but it was awful! Next time Mitchell will just have to tackle the trash on his own. Good excuse for me to pass on trash duty!
Both the boys got shots this month. Sad time for mommy. I took them on two separate days so that each could get my full attention and comfort. We had to switch so that the boys both went to a new provider because of insurance and Eli hates our new doctor he cried when he came in the room, which is unusual for him. It was sad but I stayed right with him and held his hand. Kayden cried a lot too when he got his shots. I got kinda mad at the nurse because she was so slow about it, I kept thinking “just quick give him all four shouts and let me pick him up!” But no she did one and then a band aid and then two and a cotton ball and then a band aid, then she did the other ones. Poor Kayden had stated to calm down in between but after the last shot he did not settle down again until he fell asleep crying on the way home.  His little tears where so sad! Both boys are growing beautifully. Kayden is in the 66-72% in  all his category’s. Eli remains in the top 90’s in all his. Both of them seem right on track socially and the doctor had absolutely no concerns.

Eli and I did several fun crafts this month. We made hand print turkeys and finger panted. We made a Turky hat he had fun with the glue but did like to wear it! He loves fun crafts with mommy!
