We had a good Ole St Patty's Day yesterday.
We watched a history channel special on it and talked about Ireland. My father in law served his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints there so we gave him a call.
Over dinner we talked about Ireland and Folklore and family history (we have some Irish ancestors). The kids understood a little bit and seemed interested- which at their age is what I call a huge success!
We made a special (but very low key) meal.
Green smoothies, with green grapes on the side
Irish Stew (oh so good)
And for dessert skittles and rolo's
I had planned on trying to make gluten free macaroons but in the busyness of the day I bagged that idea- They are not the kind of dessert you just throw together they take some finesse- but keep your eyes open I might try them soon.
