Reflections on Motherhood

The combination of the duck eggs in my parents backyard hatching and seeing how well the mamma ducky took care of her 12 baby ducklings, attending my friends baby shower and attending the Temple case some reflections.

My friend is an amazing mother, I learn so much from talking with her and observing her. On my way home from her baby shower  I pondered on the way home from seeing her and visiting with other amazing mothers, how could I experience more fullness of joy in my high calling as a mother?

Also this last weekend we went to the Temple. I was able to bring a family name- from my relative- and it was a wonderful experience.  As I sat in the Lords house and reflected, I felt sure that being a mother is an honor.

 Mother’s day is this weekend and I really hope that I can especially focus on motherhood and the joy it is. It is hard work but I cannot think of anything greater to be then a mother.
