Son,
This week you finish your first year of preschool.
It may not sound like much, but many things in life that seem small can create lasting habits that direct the whole course of our lives. Some days it was hard for you to go to preschool, it was challenging to learn how you write your name, hold a pencil and wait in line. You worked hard and you learned to do all those things! I am proud of you! Small as those things seem, I know they were hard for you, remember that many things in life seem hard at first. You can do hard things! I believe in you!

I wanted to tell you how proud I am of you! I am thankful everyday that I am your mother!
You amaze me, truly, you cultivate good habits even at the young age of 4, you take time to think things through, and you are firm when you know you are right. Thank you for being such a wise and loving son.
