This weekend was pretty normal, we slept in a bit and stayed
up late.
On Saturday Mitchell got up and watched the kids while I slept
in (I’m a lucky woman) and then he went outside to work on the side of the
house, it was not quite done being painted. We also started work on the Kitchen
table. Mitchell brought the table in to the garage and took it apart so that I could
sand it. WE spent a good amount of time sanding, then we were able to prime it and
finally today I put down the first coat of paint. So a few more coats of paint and several coats of tongue oil or polyurethane
to finish!!!
On Sunday we had dinner at my grandparents’ house! It was so
fun and I was able to take some fun pictures. We had a big “corn on the cob”
feed we had lots of yummy food including my uncle Shawn’s smoked turkey and my
dads delicious dessert.
I am so glad that I live near enough to my family to go to
those kinds of gatherings! I have so many wonderful relatives I have truly been
blessed
Now for the pictures of my cute kiddos. there
was a huge yellow jacket nest in the tractor that I didn’t know about until we were right by it which I way none of
the pictures ON the actual tractor. It was SO hot that the kids where fine not
too many of the yellow jackets where flying around. I got a few taken in front
of the tractor really quick for the sake of safety. That is why they don’t look
to nice, but I wanted to have a record of this old “landmark” from my childhood
I had to add a "journal" type note about the new friends i have made that have moved into our ward! Its so exciting to have young families around and it is an answer to my prayers. I just got back from a "run" with two of them Solvig and Melissa. Melissa is a seasoned runner and is helping the other two of us get back in shape! we just did jogging intervals but it was just perfect and i am so excited to keep at it!
